Before starting on Pinkie, I spent weeks drafting patterns and sewing prototypes, and thought I'd got all the difficult bits sorted out.. the shape of her head, the pointy cut-out bit on the back legs, and the two tiny, pointy curls on her mane (as they're so tight, they have to be turned before sewing the rest of the mane, else I just can't turn them!).
The switch to minky caused different problems - I was very careful and didn't get slippage, but the fabric just behaves differently, stretching and changing the shape.
I figured out that I could fix these problems with extra darts, though in one place I decided to unpick and take the fabric
